If you’ve landed on this page it means that you’re ready to take the first step towards complete career transformation – autonomy, financial abundance, and expanding your clinical skill set – all while providing a level of care that transforms your patients lives. 

Please note that you must meet one of the following criteria to apply to the program: 

  • PGY4 within 3-6 months of graduating residency, psychiatry fellow, or practicing psychiatrist
  • Family medicine physician with at least ONE year experience treating psychiatric conditions
  • PMHNP or Psychiatric PA with at least ONE year of post-graduation full-time clinical experience
  • FNP with at least THREE years of full-time experience treating psychiatric conditions

*If you don't meet one of these criteria but have other comparable experience, you may complete the app and will be given space to describe your clinical experience so that you may be considered for an exception.*

Over the last few years we have cultivated a group of  providers that are fueling so much collaboration, belonging, growth, and success inside of this program. That said, we are not able to accept everyone who applies to the program. Please be sure to answer each question thoughtfully and thoroughly.

  3. Are you currently charged with illegal or unethical professional conduct by a regulatory or law enforcement agency or by a professional society?

  5. Do you have a private practice, work in a contracted (1099) position, work in a salaried position, or none of the above? 
  6. Do you have a private practice website?

Meet the Dream Practice Academy Team 

Elana Miller, MD

Integrative Psychiatrist, Entrepreneur, Career Mentor

Elana received her B.A. in psychology at Harvard University before studying medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was nominated as a UCLA Exceptional Physician and served as the first chief resident of the Resident Psychotherapy Program.

Her writing has been featured on the Huffington Post, Forbes, KevinMD, Reimagine, Healthy Women, and on the website of the Academy of Integrative and Holistic Medicine. Elana currently has an integrative psychiatry private practice based out of Los Angeles, California where she uses both traditional medicinal and holistic non-medicinal approaches to help people overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD to live happier and more fulfilling lives.

Elana created Dream Practice Academy in July of 2021 as a way to help empower psychiatrists, PMHNPs, and other mental health prescribers to leave the soul-sucking paradigm of corporate jobs and instead start their own dream integrative psychiatry private practices. She strives to help her mentees find autonomy and joy in their work while having the kind of impact that transforms their patients’ lives. In her free time, she likes to read, write, and hike.

Kate Van Fossen 

Marketing & Business Coach

Kate graduated from Miami University in 2014 with a B.S. in Marketing and Decision Sciences. She has over 8 years of experience developing and executing marketing strategies for both international lifestyle brands and small local businesses in Columbus, OH.

She absolutely loves working with entrepreneurs — those who aren’t afraid to go against the grain, roll up their sleeves, and follow the pursuit of making their dreams and reality.

She has been working alongside Elana since May 2020 and was part of the inception of Dream Practice Academy in 2021. Kate’s role in the program is to support members of the Flagship & Premier tiers hone their unique selling propositions, build a strong marketing presence, and optimize their practice along the way. If you are part of the Premier tier, your onboarding and one-on-one coaching calls will be done with Kate too!

She is a certified yoga teacher and calligrapher with a small hand lettering business on the side. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her senior rescue pup Jane (đŸ¶), hopping around the local coffee shops, and traveling.

Unni Ioko

Customer Experience Manager & Coach 

Unni is a Somatic Sexologist and earned her Certification with the Atlanta Institute of Tantra and the American Board of Sexology in 2022. She is a writer and artist that aspires to merge dance, movement and trauma informed techniques to support clients toward erotic sovereignty in her future private practice. She absolutely loves working with couples and is inspired by the works of Esther Perel and Orna Guralnik.

With ten years in the holistic health and wellness industry in operations, marketing, and coaching she loves creating client experiences that are supportive, compassionate, and customer-centric. She enjoys supporting brand identity and tone and curating engaging content through her copywriting and storytelling skills.

Unni is our Customer Support Specialist and will provide support and coaching to program members to ensure they are getting successful results.

She is a certified Yoga & Flexibility Instructor and is earning her EFT Tapping Certification. In her free time Unni enjoys strength training, cooking for friends/family, watching anime and hiking with her pup Tieu.

Yuliya Boldyryeva

Marketing Manager

Yuliya graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Business Management. She has experience working at a start-up company where she created and managed the company’s blog, ran marketing campaigns, managed social media and creative copy, and created UX design prototypes.

Yuliya joined the team in June 2023 as the marketing manager. She works mostly behind-the-scenes, managing the program’s social media accounts and content creation. Yuliya handles all program inquiries and communications with prospect clients, so if you've emailed in a question before you've likely spoke with her!

In her free time, Yuliya enjoys working out at the gym, dancing, and traveling with her fiancé, as well as spending time with their 2 cats.
